2008 Marietta College Outdoor Meet Information

Event Schedule
Entry Fee

OAC Gold Meet: $100.00 per gender (men and women count separately) or $10.00 per athlete. 

Don Frail: $125.00 per gender (men and women count separately) or $10.00 per athlete.
Unattached entries accepted at $10.00 per individual (unlimited entries).

Entry Fees will be based on entries not participation. No Refunds.
Athletic Training
  • The training room will be available for treatment (e-stem, ultra-sound, heat).
  • If additional modality treatment is needed, visiting team must contact Jessica Rager, ATC, at jr002@marietta.edu or (740) 376-34514 to set up an appointment time.
  • Athletes will need a note with treatment instructions from their own athletic trainers in order to receive treatment.
  • Athletic trainers will be on hand to assist with injuries and emergencies during the competition.
  • Taping can be done by our student athletic trainers but your athletes will need to supply the taping materials.
Showers

Available upon request.  Please contact Brent Wilkerson (740) 376-4345 to arrange for use.

You will need to supply your own towels and locks for the lockers.

Facility
  • 400m Poly Mat SS (polyurethane), installed in July 2005. 
  • 8 lanes
  • We have 8 sets of regular blocks and 2 sets of Moye. Feel free to bring your own blocks. (Only 1/4" spikes in the base plate of the blocks.)
  • All jumping runways/surfaces are Polyurethane
  • Throwing events are brushed concrete.
  • Javelin runway is polyurethane.
Infield
  • Water is the only drink allowed on the Field Turf football field.  No food or drink other than water should be on the turf.  Athletes may warm up on the turf.

Entry Deadlines

All Entries will go through Direct Athletics:

  • Deadline: 9 p.m. on the Wednesday before the meet
  • Maximum of four athletes per event.
  • Maximum of two relays per relay event.
  • All unattached entries need to be submitted to Derek Stanley via e-mail at stanleyd@marietta.edu. Information to provide is: 1. Athlete Name, 2. School the athelte(s) is representing (or unattached), 3. Events to enter each athlete into, and 4. The entry mark (projected performance)
  • Day of Meet registration can take place up to 90 minutes prior to runing events. After that point, NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED - No Exceptions!
  • If you are trying to enter an unattached relay, you may create another account in Direct Athletics with a name such as "Unattached - School Name" and submit your entries online or you may e-mail Derek Stanley directly at stanleyd@marietta.edu

A performance list confirming all entries will be available on this page on the Thursday prior to each contest by 5 p.m. if not earlier

Implements

Weigh-ins will take place 90 minutes before competition begins and end 60 minutes after the start of competition

Scoring Team scores will be kept. Scoring will be 10-8-6-4-2-1 for the OAC Gold and Don Frail meets and 5-3-2-1 for the Marietta/Muskingum Dual Meet. Unattached athletes will be omitted.
Results

Will be posted as available on the walls within the tunnel of stadium.  

Full results will be available shortly after the meet and will also be available on our Web page at http://pioneers.marietta.edu.

Parking

Buses will be parked in the gravel lot off of 4th St. adjacent to the hammer cage. Parking for vans and cars can take place along the outside of the stadium walls and fencing along South Fifth street. [Map] Anyone parking near the hammer/discus cage will do so at their own risk.  Parking inside of the stadium will be for meet workers, officials and Marietta College employees only. 

Concessions

There will be a concession stand open.
