Carraher lone victor in Marietta women's 8-1 loss at Baldwin-Wallace
Junior improves win streak to 16 matches

BEREA, Ohio — The Marietta College women's tennis team suffered a 8-1 loss at Baldwin-Wallace College Saturday (April 12) afternoon inside the Lou Higgins Center. The Pioneers fell to 3-4, 2-4 in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC). The Yellow Jackets improved to 13-6, 7-0 in league play.

Marietta junior Amanda Carraher (Hilliard/Hilliard Davidson) remained undefeated in 2008 with a 6-3, 7-5 vicory over her opponent at first singles. Carraher has now won 16 straight matches, dating back to 2007, and is 26-3 in her career.

The Lady PIoneers are back in action on Tuesday (April 15) afternoon when they play host to Mount Union College in a 3:30 p.m. match-up at the Beren Tennis Center.
