Lady Pioneers fall 8-1 to visiting Cardinals
Carraher remains undefeated in singles play

MARIETTA, Ohio — Amanda Carraher (Hilliard/Hilliard Davidson) increased her unbeaten streak to 14 matches but visiting Otterbein College won the rest of the points en route to an 8-1 victory over host Marietta College Thursday (April 10) afternoon at the Beren Tennis Center. The Cardinals improved to 8-7, 3-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Pioneers fell to 2-3, 2-3 in league play.
Carraher, playing first singles, won her match 6-3, 7-5 to improve to 5-0 this spring. The first team All-OAC performer is now 24-3 in her three-year career.
Marietta, who had not played in nine days, will continue its three-game in three-day stretch with a home match against Shawnee State Friday (April 11) afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at the Beren Tennis Center.
